Missing Teeth Replaced with Dentures and Partials
Full and partial dentures are dental prosthetic devices that replace missing teeth. It’s vital to have a strong jawbone and healthy gums so that your dentures and partials fit and function well. Dr. Rausch will assess your oral health, and determine the best procedures for your dentures and partials.
The process of getting your dentures and partials begins with Dr. Rausch making custom molds. If you need full dentures, the molds will be of your entire palate and gums. Partials only include the areas where replacement teeth are needed. The molds are sent to a dental lab where technicians hand-craft your dentures and partials. The base is usually made from acrylic and the teeth created from porcelain.
Porcelain teeth look natural, and are stain-resistant and durable. They’ll function as well as your natural teeth. Dentures and partials can be placed in your mouth using bonding gels, or affixed with dental implants.
